A large, deep boss based closely on a Viking Age find from Ile de Groix, France. Raised from steel; thickness tapers from 3mm at its apex to 1mm at the outer extreme of the flange, and is 19cm across the widest point of the flange. Supplied with hand forged rivet/nails for attachment. Shown here blackened with linseed oil, which is an option available at no extra charge.
