A bandhelm, modelled on a 5th-7th century (Migration era) example in a private collection, and is representative of its type. Central European bandhelms and spangenhelms from this era often share the tall round silhouette, and the distinctive clustering of small rivets.

Our standard version is shown in 16 gauge steel, with a rough-from-the-hammer finish. It is provided with a long deerskin chin-tie, and can be fitted with a goatskin liner at the customer’s request. Helmet will be made to the measurements provided.
